We tried shaking and cooking, there was no reaction, gas formation was positive. Any chance of no reaction due to lithium? phone battery has ammonium sulfate + sodium hydroxide + ether + lithium = plenty of gas and more swelling no discoloration no gold bronze disintegration

the reaction was successful, after the bronze and gold pieces we added ephedrine, it turned to milk consistency, filtered separate layers, poured it into 100 ml ether, closed its mouth, rested it, then gassed it with hcl gas, it didn't snow.

You did not leave the ephedrine in solution long enough. A few things must happen for this reaction to be successful. #1 is free'd electrons from dissolved lithium need to be formed to reduce the ephedrine, the ephedrine must be based before it is soluble in the non polar solvent so that it can be reduced by the electrons.

Use ammonium NITRATE 98% pure or above NOT FERTILIZER GARBAGE. Pressure the living crap out of it so ammonia gas turns into liquid cap tight on until bottle literally explodes then cap slightly unscrew so it doesn't explode . Better clean pfed pills with some portions of acetone then add to bottle. Here is video of actual process:

If you are afraid of bottle explosion buy thick walled 2l tube or 2l STAINLESS STEEL fire extinguisher CAP TIGHT ON shake it periodically and let it sit until reaction is over. After that filter gas and party.
