Why is isopropyl added to methylamine+meoh? I have not seen the use of this solvent in other similar write ups

Because it's needed to redissolve methylamine in IPA. It's a better option in compare with my write up cuz it allows to get rid of water and increase yield.

Assuming you inadvertently add too much NaBH4 at once and the temperature rises to 30C, is there any way to save it or do you have to restart in any case?
Yes I know I'm a complete idiot... I added another 300ml of IPA to dilute everything again and now it looks like at least something is happening again.

You need to avoid such temperature fluctuations cuz it reduces yield significantly. You can continue this batch. It's worth to get something instead of nothing.

I have not successfully made amphetamine. I would like to ask the master. Why can't we directly distill the product with the boiling point of free amphetamine after the NaBH4 reduction reaction is completed? I want to know the principle.

I tested this method, which worked quite well at first. Each addition of NaBh4 produced a slight exothermic of 2-4 ° (8-12°)When I finished after about 6 hours, the temperature rose to 45° within 30 minutes, although cooling was done with -20°. I don't know the yield, I will report on this later. My question is how it is that the temperature rises so suddenly? How can I avoid it? It becomes difficult to scale if I have to wait 30 min every time NaBh4 is added. Can I change something about it or switch back to methanol.

Freon cooling or using a chiller might be effective, but this is more suitable for large-scale production.

In stage 4, Fig 14, 10-20 ml of ethanol is rinsed from the distillation flask.
Can I use another solvent instead of ethanol like methanol or isopropanol?
Or can I use ethanol denatured, as cant get ethanol undenatured?

And can you use sodium cyanoborohydride instead of sodium borohydride, and what do you need to be careful of, because what can you only buy sodium cyanoborohydride for

You can but you have to take into account that this substance produce prussic acid during the reaction. Prussic acid is hazardous substance and can kill you in case of PPE and well ventilation absence.
