Any synthesis requires chemical reagents. The most necessary substances for our purposes are controlled.
Many laboratories get into the field of law enforcement agencies view during purchases, so every underground chemist has to strictly plan his supplies, based on the main criterion - safety.
The vast majority of suppliers works only with legal entities, thus excluding even the selling possibility to individuals with suspicious purposes.
In such difficult conditions, what options are there for buying reagents?

First of all, it is necessary to divide the required substances into suspicious and safe.

Safe reagents are substances used everywhere for various purposes, which are not included in any restrictive lists. For example, alkalis, alcohols, some acids, metals, some solvents.

Suspicious reagents are included in restrictive lists, or noted as precursors for synthesizing drugs. Examples of such substances: nitroethane, phenylnitropropene, 4'-methylpropiophenone, phenylacetone, safrole, piperonal, ergothamene, acetone, hydrochloric and sulfuric acids.

Safe reagents can be found in pharmacies chemical and hardware stores. Large laboratories can purchase such reagents through dummy companies in large quantities, without causing suspicion.

Everything is much more complicated with suspicious reagents. You can use different approaches in order to resolve this problem.

1. Obtaining suspicious reagents from safe ones. For example, sulfuric acid concentration from battery fluid. Distillation of acetone for paints. Ergothamene extraction from medicines. Nitroethane synthesis from safe reagents.
2. An order such substances from China. In this option, there may be problems with customs clearance of cargo.
3. A purchase in the darknet. The BB Listing represents precursors vendors.
4. Using dummy companies for one-time deals. This approach is the most difficult and can only be used by large laboratories.
5. Get a job or find contacts in the enterprise that has access to reagents.

very informative.i thought i had given enough thought to this, before hand. i did not realize some of what i bought maybe suspicious.i think im gonna change my'''mo'' here and spend more time on forum, than time cramming chemistry from internet sources.i only did this because i need to develop a strong basic foundation for assured safety reasons.safety is multi faceted.i missed the point of the exercise....thanks for info.

I am in the US. About a year before I decided to dive in to the Dark Web. Before I found Breaking Bad in fact, I rented a room in a house (the basement) that was just crying out "clandestine lab"!
I have gotten most of my reagents by ordering from ebay or lab alley. The most questionable ones have been from foreign chemical suppliers that advertise on ebay. PCl5, benzaldehyde, and 4-methyl-2,5-dimethoxybenzaldehyde (precursor for 2C-D and DOM (STP)..

But NOW that much is available through this very site, I have placed 2 chemical orders. The first was for a kg of methylamine HCl from nitrohemis. It never arrived, but then again, I didn't use Escrow.

The second order was for precursors to 4-mmc, amphetamine, and meth. A different supplier, one who's reputation was proven here. At first he complained about the sketchy shipping my country has recently been experiencing. I was chomping at the bit to get going on those synths, so I told him I would forego Escrow.

I ordered (a rather small order - 5 items weighing ~4kg total) on Jan 19. It went out fairly quickly via USPS (US Postal Service) and I was sent a tracking number. Now, I have never ordered anything from Europe, let alone Poland. The last activity was seen on Jan 31. On about 2/7/2023, the tracking page changed to this: (see the attached .).

There has been no change since 2/7/2023.

It's been 6 weeks. Is this typical of Eu to US orders?

Anyone out there from the US and ordered chems from Europe? It would be great if we could start a thread that consisted of how orders went for manufacturers in different countries, ordering from various suppliers.

Maybe I don't understand something... Maybe you can explain to me how the rejection of escrow affects the speed of delivery?

plancklongIn the USA, I think it's best to order from Canada. I will share my contact with you:
If necessary, they will bring an order for you from Europe or China and will already send it to your city in a faster way. As far as I know, there is a simple customs service between the US and Canada.

plancklongHe refused shippin to the U.S because of escrow or just refused shipping to the U.S?

He said it took an inordinate amount of time for US customers to get their shipments, due to the current supply bottleneck, and that it was the holiday season. I didn't sense that he had a problem with escrow, just that his money would be tied up for so long.
