Направих преди това на 200-литров варел, 100-литров варел също е подходящ, и направих една реакция в гърне.

350-400 грама живак на 10L б (400 грама е наистина много агресивно), 15L метиламин 40% и след това като 30L метанол.
За фолиото не съм сигурен, накрая бях направил като 2/3 от пълна кофа с надраскано/повредено фолио (без топчета), така че беше това тегло.

Накрая се оказа, че фолиото е твърде много.
Добив: 12 л при PH 12.

Тогава с метиламин, всеки знае, че има по-добри алтернативи за това, когато се работи с, например, с Al/Hg

When you say the Al amalgam can be made in situ does that mean one doesn’t have to wash & decant the HgCl from the aluminum before introducing the p2p + methylamine mixture? The HgCl can be left in the flask while reduction happens and will be extracted out later during product purification?

I'm currently experimenting with al/hg and wanted to scale the synthesis. I asked myself the question of whether it is absolutely necessary to use a capacitor? I suspect it is needed to keep the methylamine and solvent (methanol) in reaction vessel. But would it be possible to compensate for methylamine loss with a new methylamine-methanol solution?

Perhaps an excess of methylamine was used, not much, just to compensate
Add an amount of water
Keep the temperature no more than 60 degrees and you will be fine

I have heard of success with nitromethane, but the yields are lower.

I cannot say that the yields where lower with nitromethane, but do not underestimate the danger of nitromethane.
you need 600L nitromethane per L [MD]P2P.
