Potential conversion of helional to MDA or MDMA easily and OTC

Hi, I recently thought of a synthesis idea that could be useful, allowing MDA/MDMA to be formed from helional quite easily. I wanted to share this with you and find out what you think, and if you think that's possible.
The first two steps follow the same principle as for the conversion of 4-methylpropiophenone to mephedrone :

Bromine can be substituted by NH3 or MeNH2 in order to make MDA or MDMA.

Then the aldehyde is oxidised to carboxylic acid using H2O2 and a PTC (oxalic acid) like I did here :

The final step is decarboxylation of alpha amino acid catalysed by acetophenone, as shown in this video :

Hi, in theory, it's possible. But Br atom is pretty huge and it can be problem to get 2nd product in pure form.

Also, it's need to say that NH3 is gas and it's pretty hard to handle.
