Methamphetamine hydrochloride synthesis via Al/Hg

Yield was dead low lol

I guess he must have got much better at it since this video is quite old.....

Could the low yield be attributed to using Methylamine HCl instead of the freebase in water solution or not stirring the reaction mixture?

Has anyone successfully used this process to obtain respectable yields?

Why everyone use hcl gas,for salting,then you can use acetone/hcl

I did this, the pink color on the cristalization os a byproducts, so i do the reaction at - 5, when Al dissolved i add naoh solt,extracted with toluene, add diluted HCl to the free base/toluene until pH 7, extracted the meth/ water w toluene ( pink color) until clear, add naoh solt to meth/ water,extracted w toluene, dry the freebase/ toluene w anhydrous sodium sulphate,filtered,then bubbled HCl gás until crystals, filtered,washed w acetona,the crystal was like the product on the tdc vídeo not big ice rocks, só i testes w mandelin/ marquis,the result was ok,só i try to eat 400mg then sniff 400mg then smoke 1g on little doses but i get no high,só i think this is DL meth maybe os too weak,só i do DL separation w d tartaric acid, works fine,só i do the same again test w mandelin/marquis, result was ok,só i eat 400mg,snorted 400mg,smouke 1g and still no high.the yield was 10.96g,but was scaled up reaction,do any One know a clue about what could be wrong.

Why is everyone gassing till pink? I've always just seen the nonpolar/oil suck in the gas and the powder start dropping then filtered out

How do we get the crystal form of meth?

I'm assuming his yield was low because he left the rest of his product in the supersaturated water layer that formed on the bottom of the beaker along with the salt.
A recrystallization has to be done to the powder to produce a cleaner crystal product.
