Hello community! Can someone please be so kind and DM me more precise step-by-step information about this synthesis method? I can pay relative price for the information.
After I made a ready mixture from 1,4-butanediol, 4 g of copper chromite catalyst and 0.15 g of sodium hydroxide in a pot and heated it to 200°C and let it cool to room temperature, how exactly I filter the mixture from catalyst? And can i perform the distillation without pressure, just boiling in a pot? Can metal pots be used or ONLY glassware ? This is a serious project and big amounts (300l+) monthly need to be acquired.

Hello, have you tried simple filtration via paper filter?
It would be quite hard to distill taking into account that GBL boiling point is about 200°C. Nevertheless, you can try.
