aa1178251182It's best to boil off most of the IPA under acuum just to make drying of the salt easier later. Just put the system under vacuum, attach a condenser and collect your IPA for the next batch in a separate container.

MadHatterI cooled the solvent to 3 degrees in an ice-water bath, then added NaBH4, magnetically stirred with the rotor, creating a downward vortex. NaBH4 precipitates and precipitates at the bottom under stirring at low temperature, and does not react with water in the solvent at low temperature. Do not add NaBH4 at too low a temperature, this stirring method will not work! When producing copper oxide, the agitation does not move

aa1178251182Yes. Take into account that acid reacts with IPA, don't exposure acid in IPA too long time.

when you have to heat the contents to 80c for 30 min with the heating mantle, there may be a slight delay before you reach the desired temperature of the contents (80c) , Will this have a negative effect on the synthesis?
