Safrole and NABH4 testing

Alright, hi guys, long time no see, I missed all of you of course, I have just been busy plotting and scheming, you know, masterminding stuff...

So I got two issues and I don't know if I'm just this overworked that I cannot find a decent solution to them myself OR these fields are totally new to me so maybe I do not even know WHERE to look..

Anyway, here it goes:

1. SAFROLE distilled fractionally from plant oil
The fractions came over somewhere around 232-236C and were combined, however no strong smell that I'm used to is present unfortunately. It seems a clear oil, with a slight yellow tint, I was really careful to fractionally distill away everything else..
I know about freezing the safrole to -12C (thanks erowid), however I do not currently have a freezer at my disposal to see what kind of crystals start crashing out, are there any chemical tests that can give me a definite answer if what I got is actually safrole without having it tested via GC, other than the boiling point?

2. NABH4, I am pretty sure I was just scammed for a kilogram, either that or I suddenly forgot how to use it after having used it many times already. It just did not work. Could be that it degraded, since it looks like the seller let water bind to the compound heavily? If so, how would I check for purity of sodium borohydride?

Thanks and to the people who get me the answers I need, I will pick the best ones and offer myself as a middleman if they ever need anything, I can find it for them for cheap and I can send it anywhere inside the EU. 2.Here I cannot comment other than the fact that I heard some china vendors can be hit or miss with the freshness of the hydroborate.It has 400C melting point, you can measure if you are equipped.

borohydride (as well as any other hydride) is moisture sensitive and getting it wet would completely upset me since it can't possibly perform nowhere near to what I expect to...

Hi Loki.........I have a similar issue where I'm not certain if a bought bullshit Sassafras off the internet (yet once again). Have you ever found a lab to send stuff to for true professional testing?

Ah, so for anyone that has similar problems in the future, I ended up consulting an actual firm that performed a quality analysis for me of the NaBH4. If your NaBH4 seems strange however, it could be due to some sellers adding another chemical to it in order to make it more stable (this escaped me now, if I remember I will come back and tell you guys exactly what, I might have it noted somewhere).

The sassafras oil @2-79-790125 was actually put up on a high shelf and forgot about after Loki partnered with a very nice lady by the name of Jenny. Jenny is the best plug that Loki has ever found, not only have they had nice chats sometimes, but Jenny does not bullshit with oils, she sents Loki glycidate by the kilogram in very good prices! Loki also dropped their supplier of NaBH4 as it was cheaper from Jenny and has never been let down. Loki however always uses his friends account and makes sure that he deals with Jenny via escrow, which Jenny has never complained about, but of course Loki is not a cunt so he releases moneys once the product lands and he does not fuss (pshh there ain't nothing to fuss about anyway!).

Either way, the sassafras oil was put away as a later project if I ever get to it. It's a fuckload of work and the shit smells real bad. If you can buy glycidate from the sexy, smart and helpful Jenny, then why would Loki waste his time with some shit smelling oil that possibly could contain no safrole at all? By freezing, Loki was able to isolate some white substance, however Loki never confirmed what exactly that was.

If someone has experience with isolating safrole from the oils, a guide would be nice. Loki was actually vague on purpose, but what he has and experimented with was camphor oil. Now Loki is balling thanks to Jenny, so he has a laboratory freezer going to -40C, if he ever has time to fuck around he will try to freeze that oil again.. maybe..
