Yes, pmk glycidate is a slightly easier route.

It involves a saponification and a hydrolysis, both of which are simple and easy to scale up into large amounts. Uses very common chemicals as well

Safrole is easy, but requires some more uncommon chemicals, like concentrated hydrogen peroxide at a certain step, or palladium chloride.

If one has no synthesis experience, but has done lots of extractions(DMT crystals , mescaline hcl, cactus tea, THC extracts of all kinds including crystals and "chromotography-ish" cleaning THC extracts, soxhlet psilocybin, etc)... what would some good practice be, like acetaminophen synthesis? I have read brightstar and Dr drool and lots of rhodium shit, but never done any of this, nor did I take chemistry in high school but have don't acid base extractions and shit, even fixing a huge batch of DMT for someone who uses the wrong solvent, so we just did another A/B...

I want to learn, am sure I can, just want to try something else.first.

And since I got someone reading this, I am older than most muthafuckas here, but want to go back to college for chemistry. I looked at general chemistry, and it says you have to have college algebra. And I looked at that, and that shit looks hard.
I'm decent at math, do basic problems in my head, know some formulas and can do them, but don't understand lots of shit.

How much math is used, and is it formulas that are simple to learn?

No problems. The synthesis in this topic will be easier than the methods of extraction and purification that you are talking about.

Old question, but I have some insight that might be useful.

Not a chemist, but enthusiast, and there seems to be two types of info to know, scientific and practical. For example, knowing that adding sodium hydroxide to water makes it heat up, an exothermic reaction. Meanwhile, practical might be knowing that you have to occasionally vent separatory funnels.

Imo, look at how the chemicals you want to make are produced. So you could look at meth, and see it is made from ephedrine, and p2p. Then you look at how each route works, ephedrine has iodine and red P, as well as lithium and anhydrous ammonia.

P2p has mercury amalgam, the n methyl formamide, borodhydride, and precious metal catalysts.

Now, you look at how chemicals that are similar might be produced. This is where scientific knowledge is needed, to know how things work, but you can often extrapolate and practically try various routes, if you don't mind wasting money and time. You'll still need scientific knowledge, and while I don't know it very well at all, TLC can help determine how a reaction is proceeding.

For example, mdma is produced very similarly to meth, and most routes are similar enough. It gets iffy though, if you don't have enough scientific knowledge (me included) to really know how the mechanics work.
