I buy a-oil from time to time and I've noticed, sometimes they look and smell a bit diffrent. Some of them are more yellowish other ones are more clear, also noticed differences in their odour. Any more experienced person can tell give some guidance?

Amphetamine freebase, when purified, is a crystal clear product with a very distinct but strong smell usually.
You can test the purity of your freebase by carrying out a boiling point determination for example but the smell and colour can be a good enough indicator I think.

A yellowish appearance is not always too bad but it comes from impurities like unreacted P2NP or P2P for example, the unreacted/unfiltered P2P/P2NP can also cause a fishy smell in amphetamine, which is often associated with a high product quality but is rather a sign of impurities. There can also be other impurities left, you can check the following links to learn some more interesting things about amphetamine:

In case of your freebase being very impure, you can purify it with a steam distillation, it is saver than carrying out a vacuum distillation:

Thank you very much for your answer. The amphetamine smells pretty nice I would say, something like marzipan, it's hard to describe

The best A-oil is always yellow, and you must buy only yellow because the rest is garbage

It's clearly an uninformed opinion since the presence of a yellow colour hints to impurities coming from unreacted precursors or even a wrongly carried out distillation.
Gordon RamsayLong time no see my friend. Yeah from the yellow one I had about 50% and the clear one 60-65% so the figures say all

Berlin777Long time no see, true :) I am very busy in the lab, working on improving my product daily but it is on a very good way!

Definitely, I can approve this from personal experience. Given the fact that all cleaning procedures have been done perfectly it is the steam distllation of A-Oil that decides the colour. If you distill it too fast you will carry impurities over to the receiving flask resulting in this colour :) Same goes for distilling too hot (equivalent to too fast).

How many times have you said to yourself, fuck this shit I don't want this anymore?😅 The most annoying thing is to get decent crystals, usually there is few shapes of them so the product has to be recrystallized few time
