Zoals te zien is in de vergelijking, produceert één molecuul 2-broom-4-methylpropiofenon één molecuul mephedrone.
C10H11BrO : 227,0977 g/mol
C11H15NO : 177,2429 g/mol
227.0977/177.2429=1.28127953
De coëfficiënt is 1,28127953
Dit betekent dat je uit 100 g 2-broom-4-propifenon 78,0469818 g mephedrone-base krijgt.
De massa van mephedronhydrochloride zal toenemen met 1,19 g/cm3 en de coëfficiënt zal 1,27273446 zijn.

100g(C10H11BrO)/1.27273446=78.5709849g(C11H15NO)
De theoretische opbrengst van de reactie van 2-broom-4-methylpropiofenon was 78,5709849g mephedrone hydrochloride. Maar er moet rekening mee worden gehouden dat het moeilijk is om de theoretische opbrengst te halen, meestal is het verlies 20%.

4mp to 4mmc successfully this way for me but starting 4mp was yellow so bromination done as per process.
Resultant mephedrone was a pasty powder and not crystal like salt as in video. Power was also low even after crystallization. Any thoughts on the pasty powder and low power. Yield was about 120 gms recrystallized from 400 ml 4mp.
Is there any way to purify the 4mp we get to start with or is that fine?
Would a superior product be possible if 4mp is brominated using NBs and PTSA, purified with a solvent nd then make the nmp synthesis from that 2b4m?

Ik heb geen aceton toegevoegd, alleen MMC freebase in benzeen, en ik heb er 30% HCl bij pH 5,5 ingedruppeld. Ik heb het zuur langzaam toegevoegd. Kan aceton het probleem zijn? Ik was het vergeten, omdat ik meestal aanzuur met DCM+water, dus aceton kwam niet in me op. Hoe heb je de schoonheid op de foto aangezuurd? Hartelijk dank.

Als je aq. zoutzuur gebruikt, heb je een oplosmiddel nodig dat water bindt. Dit is aceton of alcohol (ethanol, propanol).

@Marvin "Popcorn" Sutton can we scale this up using a 50litre batch reactor and drop the bromine Benzene mix from the reactors dropping funnel without any issues?
