Nice clear yellowish solution you have there. At what point of the synthesis is this picture taken?
4-MMC (mephedrone) synthesis. Bromination in dichlormethane.
Is it working for Methcathinone too? Should be, or...? I would just replace the 4-methylpropiophenone with Propiophenone. Should be working, or what do you think?
If I do this synthesis multiple times, can I add hci solution proportionally to the mother liquid and use that for acidifying the next batch?
Question - can already made and ready to go 2b4m be used instead of making it from scratch, and then start the proccess from Methylamination section?
Also, an interesting and important question. 4MMC powder and 4MMC crystals - are they, in structure and action on the brain somehow different? Are they more effective, mg per mg? Or is it just visual effect and assurance of consumers that the crystals, instead of powder, cannot be tampered with and cut?
I remember that back in the day, prior to the age of 3MMC and then 3CMC, mephedrone was often sold in both forms, for the same price (more or less), and many people often somewhy preferred the powdered form?
Does the potency increase once the powder is crystalised? Or it's effects are the same, gram of powder equating to gram of crystal?

Crystallization is a technique to purify the product.
The effects are the same. However crystals are more attractive and this way is to be received (brain workings) more intense (less impure)

Reading this back.. have to add that crystals ARE more pure ofcourse.
But effect-wise theres no diff in doing eg. 0.8g of crystals or 1.2g of powder. Although dirty taste might diminish it for some. But please do everyone a favor and just make crystals.
