I have a question. Are these crystals that appear in the bottom gray layer of the base solution P2NP that has not reacted? It is curious, they have appeared just the time I have had the active reaction for about two hours, longer than usual. (I usually allow half an hour to pass before proceeding with the basification)

The resulting yield has been very high (75%, more or less), and I think the final appearance is quite satisfactory.

user123qwehello friend... yes, as our friend Gpatton says, those crystals are salts, in this case they are sodium salts that are formed in the mud layer when it has been at high temperatures and then there has been a rapid drop in temperature, you see, it is normal see them when you meet those conditions that you explain. For the rest the result looks good... health and joy brother!.

AcidosisThanks for your answer! Lately I have focus my TEK taking care of the temperature, trying to never reach 60-65ºC. And it has been a game changer. The yields and the quality has improved significantly.

I got to know this forum through @HIGGS BOSSON YouTube channel and I must say you are a true example of how it should be. Work safely, pass on knowledge, be prepared to come up with different or newer ways to get to the end product, keep busy and stay safe, I will soon also have some questions about our method of synthesis, thanks in advance :)

sevenlakes5577Hello friend, I assume that when doing the calculations you already added 250ml of ispropyl alcohol and your mistake was using 125ml of water, well, listen to me and now add 50ml more of alcohol and instead of adding 125ml of acetic acid use 200ml and continue your synthesis Normally, that mistake won't ruin your work, just use a drying agent(magnesium sulfate) for your alcohol-free base to dry up any remaining water molecules...ok??..follow these instructions and proceed with peace of mind.

AcidosisWell I had scaled up the reaction by a factor of 2.5 so I added 250 IPA and 150 DI-H20 and then 25g of clean yellow P2NP. Thank you so muchfor replying tho. I had hope someone on here would be able to help me.
