my tablets contain: Triprolidine hydrochloride 2.5 mg
Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 60 mg
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, starch, magnesium stearate, povidone and water.
Can I remove pseudoephedrine just by adding ethanol and filtering and evaporating it?

Then wash the toluene with water once, taking care that the alkalinity does not decrease. Then separate the toluene and pump hydrogen chloride gas into the toluene. The crystals of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride will fall. Filter the sediment and dry it.

What do you mean by washing the toluene with water? I don't understand what you mean by this? Aren't they immisible?
Duart77After alkalinity is carried out, the pseudoephedrine base is dissolved in the toluene. Separate the toluene from the water, then add clean distilled water to the toluene and separate it a second time to remove the sodium particles. Then pump Hcl gas to the toluene. The pseudoephedrine Hcl salt will come out. Filter.
wael ganoThank you very much for your help friend. Do you know what yield this process is capable of generating?

Dissolve it in alkaline water, pH 12, then extract it with toluene or xylene
