Hey guys, since in my country I can buy only one medicine without a prescription that contains pseudoephedrine, it contains also ibuprofen. Is there a way to separate pseudoephedrine from ibuprofen?

use a/b extraction or by using solvent that's can dissolve pseudoephedrine but can't with ibuprofen

there is a way it is called an açid base extraction! it involves freebasing the pseudoephedrine and then using hcl to form the salt ! you must disolve the pills in water and add naoh then distill off the liquid untill you have recovered 85% or more then add hcl untill the liquid is ph 7 evaporate off the liquid and clean phseudo hcl will be left behind!
